Tips for camera shy people“What tips do you have for camera shy people?”

This is from Kristen Sousa from Optix Solutions.

Well, there’s a few things you can do to make things easier for yourself.

The first one is to practice. If you know what it is that you’re doing, and you can rehearse maybe at home or just run through it a few times with the camera off, you’re going to feel a little bit more confident.

And that means you’re going to deliver better and hopefully be a little less shy.

Definitely get rid of people you don’t need in the room. If there’s a lot of people watching you it’s going to add to the pressure and it’s just not going to be fun.

So kick them out and that’s going to make life a little bit easier for you.

The other thing you can do is you can put some notes up, maybe use an iPad or something as an auto prompt.

That’s really going to help you with your confidence in the delivery because you’ll know what you’re actually saying.

If you don’t really feel good in front of a camera, and you can’t change that, then maybe you’re not the right person to be in front of the camera.

But definitely practising and a few of these little tips will make a difference.
