Case Study – Life QI

The Project

Life QI used our EasyStudio to produce a series of short videos showing healthcare professionals how to use their web platform to collaborate and manage quality improvement projects.

What the client wanted

Life QI wanted to make some videos combining a presenter and a guided demonstration of the features of their platform.

Kerrie Preston, senior marketing manager, said: “As a software company, video is the easiest way for us to demonstrate how to navigate around our platform. It enables users around the globe to access ‘how to’ guides on our website at any time.

“We wanted to have a friendly face presenting the videos, but at the same time to demonstrate how you navigate through the system.

“The reason we approached Bitpod is that our software is constantly evolving, so we will be updating the videos as new developments are released. This meant we needed a quick solution without a huge price tag.”

What we did

In preparation for their EasyStudio session, we created a bespoke setup featuring a presenter talking to camera while Powerpoint slides are displayed in an inset window. This format could then be easily switched to a full-screen software demonstration with the presenter inset.

Kerrie and her colleague Erica then spent a day in our studio, taking it in turns to be the presenter and explore the Life QI platform in real time using a laptop.

“It was the first time we have done anything like this,” said Kerrie. “Bitpod helped us to produce exactly what we had in mind.

“The environment is really professional and the team are very friendly and made us feel at ease. We worked together to create something we were really happy with. Overall it was a very positive experience.”

The impact

During their EasyStudio session, Kerrie and Erica made 10 demonstration videos for the Life QI website. They were so pleased with the results that they now plan to produce longer, on-demand webinars to train new users of the platform.

“We know there’s a demand for these among our users,” added Kerrie. “We needed a cost-effective solution that allowed us to make quality videos without spending a lot of time editing the content. EasyStudio really does fit the bill for us.”
