We are excited to announce our new joint filming series in calibration with EXiST Exeter.

Each video in the series with focus on one innovative business here in Exeter, where we will spend time with the organisation asking them questions about why they are located here and why Exeter is a great place to be, also we will be finding out how they feel about the importance of innovation and what makes them an innovative business.

We hope this series will help anyone who is looking to relocate their business here and the benefits it will bring to their organisation and to also highlight some of the successful science and technology businesses in the area.

Small Business Saturday

Small bSBS1usiness Saturday is all about supporting, inspiring and promoting local businesses across the UK.  On the 5th of December, a branded open top bus took to the streets of Exeter to do just that.  As both a member and committee member, Bitpod was naturally keen to get involved not only by helping out with the initial event planning but also by capturing footage from the day. Alex and his camera hopped on the bus which traSBS2velled around the city centre, with RadioExe playing Christmas music, picking up small business owners along the way.

The bus’s destination was the Exeter Phoenix where it’s passengers were invited to take part in a Q&A session with Ben Bradshaw and Rosie Denham.  Having filmed the session, Bitpod will be producing a number of short videos which will share the answers to the hot topics posed by local business owners; alongside a stand alone video promoting next year’s event.
This year’s Small Business Saturday was a huge success with a massive £623m spent with small businesses across the UK on the day, up 24% on last year.  The day received outstanding support from the local communities with over 75% of local councils taking part.
We look forward to helping raise awareness of next year’s event with a Bitpod video!
