How long does an animation project take?

On average we would usually recommend allowing 6-8 weeks for the entire process. This can be shortened if you are able to move quickly with any requests including the approval stages. In our experience scripting can be a variable length process as it is essential that this is completely correctly.

Do I own the final animation?

Yes, you own the finished animation video and the visual assets created for it (usually Adobe Illustrator files). However, some licensed software used in the production process will be licensed in our name and cannot be transferred to you.

Can I have all the animation source files so I can make changes myself or pass to another agency?

If you need all of the source files for your project we can create a handover package that includes all the required files, the production environment setup details and any additional instructions/support to get it working. As this takes time to action we would normally quote for this based on the work required.

Can we have a 3D animation?

Due to popular demand, we create 2D animations as they offer good value and are much quicker to develop. For specialized 3D animation, we collaborate with trusted partners to produce elements or entire animations as required.

Can we provide our own scripts, storyboards, or design work?

Absolutely, we’re happy to collaborate with you and your design team in whatever way makes the most sense for your project. Each project teams varies depending on the client and the project, this is quite normal for us.

How long should a typical animation be?

The duration varies significantly based on several factors, but typically, a promotional/informational animation runs for 2-3 minutes with a scripted voiceover and 1-2 minutes with music/on screen text. Social media animations are usually around 5-20 seconds long.

How do we make sure that the final animation is going to be what we require?

We utilise a multistage sign-off process, involving your review and feedback at the script, storyboard, mockup, and final animation stages. This ensures the end product is perfectly aligned with your needs.

What types of animation can you produce?

We specialise in a wide range of animation styles, including explainer videos, educational animations, promotional content, and more, tailored to effectively communicate your message. We can include animated characters with lip sync, abstract design, typographic effects and much more.

Are there any types of animations do you not create?

Our focus is usually on creating communication pieces that have a purpose or message to convey. We are do not usually create stories, cartoons or other in-depth character based narratives as this is a different proposition requiring different experience and skills.

Can you help with voiceover and music for the animation?

Yes, we offer comprehensive services including voiceover selection and music licensing to complement your animation, ensuring a cohesive and engaging final product.
