How many videos can I make in a studio session?

You can make as many videos as you are prepared for, there is no imposed limit. Naturally you will want to check each video back and re-record where necessary so this will take some time. If you have multiple presenters then you will also require some time for each person to get up to speed in front of the camera. In a day we have seen people make anything from 5 to 25 videos, we have had people make more but they were very short and they were extremely well prepared.

How long do I have to wait for my final videos?

Assuming there is no additional work to be completed on the videos then you can have them immediately after they have been recorded. If you have opted for some additional editing work (not included/required in the standard service) then we will discuss timescales with you based on the amount, length and the complexity of  the edit. In general we aim to have any post recording editing completed within a few days.

Can I feature multiple people in my videos?

Yes of course! Having multiple presenters can be a great way of making the most out of a portable studio session. Do remember that each presenter will have a warm up time so factor this into your scheduling.

Do I have to use PowerPoint or are there other options?

You can use any software you wish to feature in you studio videos. Microsoft PowerPoint is very popular as most people have access to it and know how to use it. As long as we can capture the full screen output of the software you are welcome to use whatever you like. In the past we have captured online web demonstrations, Keynote, Prezi and bespoke software screen.

How do I know that my videos will look and sound good?

One of the key features of our portable video studio is that you can watch back the (hopefully) final video right from your seat immediately after recording it. The video will already include the title, name badge, background logo, end credits and of course you and your presentation depending on what you have selected. This means that if you are happy with it move onto the next video, if not then simply record another take until you are.

What are the requirements for setting up the portable studio?

We need a space that is approx. 5m square and free from any furniture or other obstacles. If you are recording sound then the location will need to be silent as well as have black out blinds or similar. We will also need power sockets and an internet connection (useful for updated any files on the day).

If I make a mistake do I have to re-record or can you edit the video?

We would normally suggest you re-record the video if it is possible as you will often see other improvements from recording multiple takes. If it is a long complex video or you are running out of time then yes we can edit different versions together as long as the edit can be hidden well. Editing is an additional charge as it is not usually necessary for this service.

Why do you charge a setup fee for this service?

To make sure that your studio session is productive we setup a video recording template in advance. This will contain the title screen, any on screen graphics (such as name badges), the end credits and sometimes a PowerPoint template. This is then configured on our system ready for recording once the equipment is setup. By creating and obtaining approval in advance, you can be confident that your final videos will perfectly match your organisations branding.

Is it possible to set the studio up exactly the same as before?

Yes this is totally possible and has been completed a number of times with past clients.

What happens if I run out of time for my studio session?

Depending on the logistics it may be possible to overrun for an agreed hourly fee. If for some reason this is not possible then we can arrange another filming date to complete your remaining videos. It may be a good idea to record the videos in order of priority so that you have everything you need before the day is over.

What happens if I have time left in my studio session?

It is always a good idea to have some ideas for this scenario just in case someone is super efficient with their recording. If not we can always make a few suggestions such as recording profile videos for LinkedIn, creating some FAQ videos or just rehearsing other presenting styles and techniques.
